EAST MEETS WEST
(Part 2)But times are changing. The Bucks are showing signs of being the next big thing in sports – all thanks to Antetokounmpo. Last night they showed the world they are no longer just a good team, but a great team capable of shaking things up in the postseason.
Behind impressive guard play, the Bucks defeated the Warriors on national television 134-111. Bledsoe was in his bag. He looked confident when isolating on Curry, or anyone for that matter. It was a confidence we haven’t seen since his arrival in the Cream City. After his 26 minutes on the floor, Bledsoe finished with 6 assists and 26 points while shooting 10-12. Giannis was also limited to 26 minutes but scored 24 points along with 9 boards. He also blessed us with some freakishly athletic plays.
With Giannis and Bledsoe each playing 26 minutes, there was a lot of time up for grabs.
Surprisingly,
Pat Connaughton was rewarded 21 of those minutes. And he shined bright by scoring 13 in the 2nd quarter alone. Check it...
The defense looked to be in midseason form throughout the game. Bud’s system of forcing midrange jumpers was in full swing. Even the Splash Brothers had trouble getting open behind the arc. Moreover, the defense’s interior looked strong. Durant was met twice when trying to finish at the rim. Once by Giannis, and once by Henson.
This game is just another reason it’s a great time to be a Bucks fan. The team is running on all cylinders, both offensively and defensively, and it’s exciting to watch. If the Bucks can sustain this quality of play, look for the team to have a full bandwagon come playoffs.
